After a long generational tradition of olive oil production in our family, we are incredibly proud of the improvement we've achieved over these last few years.

The Dalmatia-based producer earned a Gold Award for its Olio D'oro Galjin Dvor brand, an organic medium Oblica.
"After a long generational tradition of olive oil production in our family, we are incredibly proud of the improvement we've achieved over these last few years," owner Rade Županović said.
"Because of this, we are undeniably grateful to be the ones winning a Gold Award for our Oblica," he added.
Despite this year's success at the world's largest olive oil quality competition, Županović said drought and high temperatures made the 2022/23 crop year challenging.
"Last season's drought created some big challenges for us," he said. "High temperatures and lack of rainfall existed throughout the olive development process, but Oblica, a traditional variety well-suited to Dalmatia's climate and rocky terrain, overcame all the difficulties."
Held each spring in New York, the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the world's most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year's best extra virgin olive oils.
