Ante Vulin, owner
Based in Dalmatia, the small-scale producer earned its latest award at the 2024 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for a medium-intensity Oblica.
"This means a lot to our company and our family," owner Ante Vulin said. "It is confirmation that we are on the right path in high-quality olive oil production."
"Our customers will enjoy the unique varieties and blends that we successfully produce," he added. "After three years with Gold Awards at the NYIOOC, we are very proud."
In the 2023/24 crop year, Antino produced 5,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods.
"This year, there was a lot of rain," Vulin said. "The year before was a record crop, so some varieties had an extremely reduced crop."
"The consequences of the rainy year are the appearance of some insects—the olive fruit fly," he added. "We successfully overcame it and got a very healthy fruit. The result was very fruity oil with green scents of pleasant bitterness and slightly increased spiciness."
