Croatia’s Negri Wins 4 Straight at World Competition
Croatian producer Negri Olive has won a Gold Award at the 2020 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for a medium-intensity blend.
Our clients highly value the competition in New York, so they are also starting to promote both our olive oil and the NYIOOC.

In the 2019/20 season, the company produced 8,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods. It is the fourth consecutive year the brand has been awarded at the competition.
"For several years now, we have been receiving very prestigious awards that help us a lot in the presentation and sale of our Negri extra virgin olive oil," owner William Negri said. "Our clients highly value the competition in New York, so they are also starting to promote both our olive oil and the NYIOOC."
Negri said the secret to the company's repeated success is an early harvest, which preserves flavors and enhances the health benefits of the resulting oil.
"For the olive harvest, we start as early as October or when there is an optimal amount of a variety of chemical compounds and molecules in the fruit, all of which are the foundation of a superior product," he said. "By this, we mean a high level of polyphenols, which are natural antioxidants, a wide range of vitamins and minerals."
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest and its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
