Monogram’s Blend of Native Varieties Wins Gold
Greek producer Monogram Olive Oil has won its second-consecutive Gold Award at the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.
Winning again at the NYIOOC is particularly gratifying for us as those awards redeem our hard work producing high-quality extra virgin olive oils through our agro-scientific knowledge and innovation.

Based in Kalamata, on the Peloponnese peninsula, the company earned the award at the 2022 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for its medium organic blend of Koroneiki and Athinolia olives.
"Winning again at the NYIOOC is particularly gratifying for us as those awards redeem our hard work producing high-quality extra virgin olive oils through our agro-scientific knowledge and innovation," co-owner Anastasis Maggans said.
"Our goal is to establish Monogram as a 'seal' of quality and creativity, just like the characteristic circular shape of our brand," he added.
In the 2021/22 crop year, the company produced five tons of extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods.
"This harvest year was an excellent year for our olive groves in Kalamata both in terms of quantity and quality," Maggans said. "It is very challenging to maintain our productivity. The road ahead is certainly long, but at the same time, very exciting as we strongly believe in and love what we do."
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
