Luretík Awarded for Organic Blend at World Competition
Central Californian producer Luretík has won a Silver Award at the 2022 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.
We are a young micro-producer, so receiving a Silver Award in New York in only our second year of production was extremely rewarding.

Located near Santa Barbara, the company earned its first NYIOOC accolade for its Sicily brand, an organic medium blend of Nocellara del Belice and Cerasuola olives.
"We are a young micro-producer, so receiving a Silver Award in New York in only our second year of production was extremely rewarding," owner Elise Magistro said.
"We continue to educate ourselves on all aspects of growing and production with hopes of crafting the highest quality extra virgin that stands shoulder to shoulder with the best in the world," she added.
In the 2021/22 crop year, Luretík produced 200 liters of extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods," Magistro said. "Strong, hot spring winds during flowering diminished our crop significantly."
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
