Croatian producer OPG Karaga has won a Gold Award at the 2021 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.
We have been awarded gold for our oil in the past, but winning Gold at such as big competition is always thrilling.

The company produces extra virgin olive oil in Dalmatia using machine methods. OPG Karaga earned the Gold Award for its medium blend.
"We have been awarded gold for our oil in the past, but winning Gold at such as big competition is always thrilling," owner Ante Karaga said.
The family producer attributed their success to the careful selection process each olive goes through before milling, adding that they once again achieved this despite the labor shortages that they faced.
"Our olives are all hand-picked despite the major labor force deficit that we face each year, but we made it again this year and are looking forward to future harvests," Karaga said.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
