Cogia-Iffco Group Wins Gold in World Olive Oil Competition
The Cogia-Iffco Group, a Tunisian producer, has won a Gold Award at the 2021 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.
We have fairly large markets in America and the rest of the world. This NYIOOC award is proof of quality for us and for our customers.

In the 2020/21 crop year, the company produced 900 tons of extra virgin olive oil using machine methods. The Cogia-Iffco Group earned the Gold Award for its Allegro brand, a delicate blend.
"We have fairly large markets in America and the rest of the world," Joaquim Martins, the company's CEO, said. "This NYIOOC award is proof of quality for us and for our customers."
For Martins and the rest of the team, this award is also evidence that the process of choosing the best varieties to satisfy consumers in each of their different markets works.
"We must find varieties with a specific profile that allows us to satisfy our various markets, which obliges us to visit the four corners of Tunisia," he said.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
