Elaikos CEO Feels ‘Wonderful’ With Double Win
Elaikos Extra Virgin Olive Oil was victorious with two Gold Awards at the 2020 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.

The winning oils were Elaikos, a medium lend, and Elaikos Picual, a medium Picual. The company produces extra virgin olive oil in Greece by way of traditional methods.
Producing great olive oil is a challenge, but one he relishes, company CEO Christodoulos Roumeliotis remarked when learning of the win.
"Speaking for the best quality, from cultivation to storage, the path is full of challenges. All steps are critical and every year is a new challenge and that's ... great! The harvest and olive mill stage are probably the most challenging to my opinion," Roumeliotis said.
"I feel wonderful but also more responsible at the same time. The recognition which comes with awards gives us the strength to keep trying.," he added.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest and its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
