Crea Farm Celebrates 6th World Competition Award

Crea Farm from Japan has won a Gold Award at the 2024 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.

The company earned its sixth World Competition accolade for a medium Coratina. "Winning an award at the NYIOOC is a testament to the hard work put in throughout the season," said chief executive Yasuko Nishimura. "We take pride in being evaluated for quality at this stage."

She attributed the company's sustained success in the competition to its meticulous hand-harvesting process and high rate of fruit rejection.

"Since starting olive cultivation, the trees have grown larger, and the harvest has increased," Nishimura said. "Unlike overseas olive farmers, we carefully harvest each olive manually."

"We conduct 100 percent screening in the segregation process, and we press the olives within 24 hours of harvest, but we consider streamlining the process to be a challenge," she added.
