Ripalta Colli Orvietani PDO
Ripalta Colli Orvietani PDO blends Moraiolo, Frantoio and Leccino olives. It is a bright green oil with a medium-robust flavor, featuring strong bitter and spicy notes that evoke almond, artichoke, and arugula. The oil also has aromas of fresh almond and pink pepper. As part of the PDO Umbria certification, an analysis of Ripalta shows a very high polyphenol content and an acidity that has never exceeded 0.2%. It is particularly well-suited for red meat dishes and other savory foods.
Where to Find The Marchesi Misciattelli Bernardini agricultural company sits outside the village of Allerona, a small medieval jewel perched on a hill overlooking the valley, a natural terrace that offers a unique and evocative panorama near the borders of Lazio and Tuscany. The company’s 120 hectares are located at an average altitude of around 350 to 400 meters above sea level. The historical olive varieties of the territory are present: Moraiolo, Leccino and Frantoio.
