Major Wins for Voukoureslis Nik at World Olive Oil Competition
Greek producer Voukoureslis Nik has won two awards at the 2020 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition.
This is a great success for us, as our product is now certified by such a world-renowned contest: the NYIOOC. That gives us the power to continue to advertise the quality of our product, so that we are able to satisfy our customers, both from Greece and abroad.

The company was awarded Gold for its Alexandros Special Edition, a medium Makri, and Silver for Alexandros Black Edition, another medium Makri.

In the 2019/20 season, Voukoureslis Nik produced 600 tons of extra virgin olive oil from Makri olives using traditional methods.
Voukoureslis said that 2019 was a great year for the company, with few obstacles popping up during the harvest season.
"It was a good harvest year for our region," he said. "We did not face any challenges, neither from the weather nor from diseases."
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest and its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
