In the 2020/21 crop year, the company produced 32,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil in Istria using machine methods. Uljara Vodnjan earned the two Gold Awards for its Salvela Buza brand, a medium Buza, and its Punta Cissana brand, a medium blend.
"We are glad to know that others recognize our work and our aspiration to continuously produce products of quality throughout the years," said Edi Družetić, the company's production technician.
For the producers behind Uljara Vodnjan, this year's Gold Awards are especially gratifying after a challenging year in which the Covid-19 pandemic hurt their sales and complicated the harvest.
