True Olive Awarded for Excellent Edremit in New York

True Olive from Turkey has won a Silver Award at the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.

The company earned its debut accolade at the 2024 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for its Private Reserve brand, a medium-intensity Edremit.

"Winning is an indescribable joy for all of us," said co-owner Nicole Babaoglu. "It is the best reward for all the hard work during this challenging year. Claiming the Silver Award inspires a determination to bring home Gold in 2025."

Like many producers in Turkey, Babaoglu said the company faced a difficult harvest but still achieved high quality.

"The drought posed a significant challenge this harvest, but working together, we were still able to make the best of the situation," she said.
