California’s ToothAcre Ranch Awarded in New York

ToothAcre Ranch from the United States won a Silver Award at the 2024 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition.

We are thrilled with our win at the NYIOOC. We work so hard to harvest the olives when they are green and mill them within two to three hours.

Scott Toothacre, co-owner

The Southern California producer earned its first-ever award at the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest for its Estate Reserve brand, a medium blend.

"We are thrilled with our win at the NYIOOC," said co-owner Scott Toothacre. "We work so hard to harvest the olives when they are green and mill them within two to three hours. It is so rewarding to see all of that hard work recognized by this prestigious organization."

Using traditional methods, the company produced 500 liters of extra virgin olive oil in a bumper 2023/24 crop year.

"This was a huge crop year for us," Toothacre said. "We hand-harvested 9,000 pounds (4,080 kilograms) of olives. It took us just about one month to complete the harvest on our small farm."
