Third Year of Wins For Sololio at World Olive Oil Competition
Sololio has taken a Gold Award for the third year in a row at NYIOOC World, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.
This achievement represents for us a great motivation to continue our ongoing pursuit of quality.
Domenica Bruno, Owner, Sololio
The Italian company, which employs traditional methods to produce extra virgin olive oil from 6,500 Coratina and Cassanese olive trees in Puglia, won again this year for its Delia Audace medium blend.
Upon hearing of the award, owner Domenica Bruno remarked that the company had to overcome challenging harvest conditions during the season.
"Climatic conditions in particular have been quite challenging this year. Nevertheless, we managed to achieve excellent results anticipating the harvest," Bruno said.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest and its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
