Psaltiras‘ Awarded in World Competition Debut
Psaltiras' from Greece has won an award at the 2023 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's largest olive oil quality contest.
The harvest began later due to the olives not being in the right phase to harvest earlier. But in general, harvest was very good.

Southern Peloponnesian producer earned a Silver Award for a medium Koroneiki. Owner Nicos Psaltiras said he was proud of the recognition, adding, "hard work will pay off."
Despite the usual challenges of olive farming and a delayed start, Psaltiras said the harvest went well.
"It was a difficult year," he said. "The harvest began later due to the olives not being in the right phase to harvest earlier. But in general, harvest was very good."
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition held each spring in New York, is the world's most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
