Situated in Lazio, the company earned two Gold Awards for its Eximius brand, a medium Caninese, and Athos brand, a medium blend. Both brands previously earned Gold Awards in 2017 and from 2019 to 2022.
"We are very proud to be honored at the NYIOOC every year," owner Francesca Boni said. "It confirms that our commitment to making a high-quality extra virgin olive oil is well appreciated."
In the 2022/23 crop year, Olio Traldi produced 15,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil. Boni cited drought as the main challenge she overcame.
"The most difficult challenge we encountered, which occurs every year, is drought," she said. "We address this problem by irrigating our olive groves."
