Words do not express all the emotions that we are feeling right now. We have to thank our Laconiko family and supporters for these awards.

The winning oils were Laconiko, a medium Koroneiki, which took a Gold Award; and Olio Nuovo Reserve and Laconiko Kambos, both delicate Koroneikis, which garnered Silver Awards.
"The biggest challenge we experienced was finding the necessary workforce to assist us in harvesting our olive fruit at their ideal time," co-owner Diamantis Pierrakos said when he heard of the award.
The company uses traditional methods to produce extra virgin olive oil in Lakonia from Koroneiki olives using traditional methods.
"We are so thrilled to be recognized for the 7th consecutive year at this competition! Words do not express all the emotions that we are feeling right now! We have to thank our Laconiko family and supporters for these awards, none of this would have been possible without their support. We are so grateful to them for believing and trusting us," Pierrakos said.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest and its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
