Huilerie Freres Farhani Awarded for Chetoui at 2024 NYIOOC
Tunisian producer Huilerie Freres Farhani has won a Silver Award at the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.
Situated in the northern region of Zaghouan, the company earned its first-ever accolade at the 2024 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for its Zetun brand, a medium-intensity Chetoui.
Owner Ezzine Farhani said it was an honor to be awarded at the World Competition.
Huilerie Freres Farhani benefited from Tunisia's production rebound, yielding 50 tons of olive oil from its 8,000-tree grove in the 2023/24 crop year.
"We actually had a good harvest because our olive groves are irrigated," Farhani confirmed.
