E-La-Won Awarded for 2 Blends at World Competition

Greek producer E-La-Won has won two Silver Awards at the 2021 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.

In the 2020/21 crop year, the company produced an estimated 18 to 22 tons of extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods near ancient Mycenae on the Peloponnese peninsula. E-La-Won earned the two Silver Awards for its medium and delicate blends.

"Since NYIOOC is one of the most credible competitions worldwide, we are sure that our wins will boost the recognition of our brand name and the sales of our products," Ioannis Kampouis, the company's CEO, said, adding that the company had not faced too many challenges during the harvest.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
