The Sfax-based distributor, which sources extra virgin olive oil from Tunisia and Morocco, earned two Gold Awards for its Terra Delyssa brands, including a medium Chemlali and organic medium blend, and a Silver Award for its Moresh brand, a medium blend.
"We are delighted and honored to have been awarded these prizes, which represent the recognition of all the efforts made by all the Terra Delyssa family members," marketing manager Salima Ben Jemia said.
Since 2020, the CHO Group has won 10 awards with four different brands. Despite its international profile, Ben Jemia said the secret to the group's success stems from supporting family producers who follow sustainable practices.
"Terra Delyssa is the product of a deep passion for olive oil, family heritage and sustainability," she said. "With every bottle, you are not only cooking with a delicious ingredient but supporting sustainable farming practices and converting deserts into acres of beautiful olive trees."
Held each spring in New York, the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
