Capay Valley Ranches Awarded for Koroneiki
American producer Capay Valley Ranches has won a Silver Award at the 2020 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for its delicate Koroneiki monovarietal.
Winning an award at the NYIOOC validates all of the hard work we put into our crops. It also allows us to reach a market that we would not otherwise have access to.

Capay Valley Ranches produce extra virgin olive oil in Capay, California using intensive cultivation and mechanical harvesting methods.
"Winning an award at the NYIOOC validates all of the hard work we put into our crops," co-owner Denise Andre said. "It also allows us to reach a market that we would not otherwise have access to."
Andre said that in spite of having to work around the weather, 2019 was quite a good year for the northern California producers.
"Other than having to work around the weather, I would say that our 2019 harvest was very successful," she said.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest and its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
