Azienda Agricola Bisceglie Maria Wins Gold

3 years agoBy OOT Staff

Azienda Agricola Bisceglie Maria from Italy has won a Gold Award at the 2022 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.

The company produces extra virgin olive oil in Puglia (Italy) from Coratina olives using traditional methods.

One of the biggest challenges we have had to face is drought, which we have been able to tackle with irrigation.

Maria Bisceglie, Owner

The family company won a Gold Award for its GangaLupo, a robust Coratina monovarietal produced in Puglia, Italy.

"This is the fourth consecutive year that we win at the NYIOOC," Maria Bisceglie said about the award, "and it is always a great satisfaction because we compare ourselves with companies from all over the world and receiving the maximum recognition makes us understand that we are working with the highest quality standards."

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest.
