Situated in the capital region of Lazio, the company earned the industry's most coveted quality award for its A1980 brand, an organic medium blend.
"I am proud and happy that a small family-run company like mine with passion and sacrifice has reached this prestigious milestone," said Alessandra Nicolai, the company's chief executive.
"This award means that each of us can make some dreams come true only with hard work and immense love for our land that gives us this wonderful product," she added.
The producer earned a second consecutive Gold Award, despite a harvest season that brought plenty of challenges.
"It was a very difficult vintage, I have always worked hard despite the difficulties in maintaining a high-quality standard," Nicolai said. "The production was lower than average due to the drought, but fortunately I have land spread over the territory and in some of which the drought did not cause problems."
