The company produces organic extra virgin olive oil in Puglia from Coratina, Leccino, Ogliarola and Cellina di Nardò olives using traditional methods.
"We are truly happy to have achieved such an important result," co-owner Ernesto Buondonno said. "The NYIOOC is very important and very rewarding because it involves the entire international community of olive growers and allows for the promotion of excellent extra virgin olive oils."
Archidamo III won the Silver Awards for its Archidamo Delicato, an organic delicate blend, and Archidamo, an organic medium blend.
Buondonno said 2020 was marked with plenty of challenges, but the harvest helped him get through some of the most difficult moments.
"The past year has been really difficult for all of us, but olive growing is an activity that takes place in a really pleasant environment and got us through the difficult moments," he added.
