This is a springboard toward the horizon. We feel in flight. We put quality into our oil and the NYIOOC confirmed that we are going in the right direction.
Luca Mennella, owner
The company produces extra virgin olive oil in Campania using traditional harvesting methods.
"This is a springboard toward the horizon," owner Luca Mannella said. "We feel in flight. We put quality into our oil and the NYIOOC confirmed that we are going in the right direction."
While many of his fellow producers lamented a lack of rain, Mannella said that his groves received too much of it at a critical moment in the season
"The biggest difficulty was due to the abundant rains during the onset of ripening, but despite this we managed to develop an excellent product," he said.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest and its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
