Aegida Awarded for Organic Leccio del Corno
Slovenian producer Aegida has won its first-ever Gold Award at the 2021 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.
This award means a lot to us, we are very glad. Producing high-quality oil is a challenge, but we love our trees and this helps a lot.

In the 2020/21 crop year, the company produced organic extra virgin olive oil in Istria from Istrska Belica, Leccino and Leccio del Corno olives using traditional harvesting methods.
Kaluza and his wife established the grove in 2013 and have since planted 500 trees. Aegida earned the Gold Award for its organic medium Leccio del Corno.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
