In the 2020/21 crop year, the company produced 1,750 liters of extra virgin olive oil in the Subbetica Mountains of Andalusia from Hojiblanca olives using traditional harvesting methods. Aceites Mirasol earned a sixth consecutive Gold Award for its Conde de Mirasol brand, a medium Hojiblanca.
"This award is a great honor and encourages us to continue working to achieve an extra virgin olive oil that is recognized worldwide," company manager Francisco Javier Trujillo said.
Trujillo added that the 2020/21 crop year posed plenty of challenges for the company, but that this was nothing new in the world of farming.
"Every year is a challenge but we always face it with the greatest enthusiasm and effort necessary to obtain an extra virgin olive oil of the best quality," he said.
