Our Rio Largo Premium extra virgin olive oil comes from Frantoio, Leccino and Coratina varietals in the Breede River Valley in the Fairest Cape of South Africa. Our olives are hand-picked and pressed the same day using cold extraction methods to ensure the oil is always fresh and its unique flavors are preserved.
Where to Find Rio Largo Olive Estate is owned by Nick and Brenda Wilkinson. The estate is situated in the Western Cape on Africa's southern tip in the Karoo semi-desert, where the weather and terroir are perfect for olive growing. Attention to detail is not negotiable and biodynamic farming practices are implemented. Nick, a chartered accountant turned passionate olive producer, has brought home awards for this proudly South African olive oil since 2010.
