Nestled high in the Umbrian hills, overlooking the valley of Assisi and the surrounding hills between the Chiasco and the Tiber river sits the isolated La Montagnola Estate, surrounded in its 17th-century majesty by the dark green and silver of 7,000 olive trees. This is the Borgia and Medici family domain – an heirdom as ancient as Italy itself boasting Moraiolo, Frantoio, Don Carlo and Leccio Dal Corno cultivars. The pomace is used for the production of biomass energy.
