I grew up in an olive oil-growing country and was diagnosed with a malformation of blood vessels in my brain in my mid-20s. Since then, a few brain surgeries, endless CT scans, MRIs, visits to doctors’ offices, seizures, and medications have swamped my life. I was put on pharmaceutical medication indefinitely until my wife, and I made our kitchen into a whole-food “pharmacy.” I realized that I had a new path. Adopting good fat (olive oil is part of it) is part of my crucial medication-free diet.
