My family has been producing olive oil for generations. We currently have 650 olive trees of mostly indigenous varieties, the most common of which is Oblica. However, we also grow Lastovka, Krvavica and Šoltanka olives. Given the location, microclimate and rocky soil, our oils have a pronounced bitterness, intense spiciness and aromas of green olives, almonds and green tomatoes.
I feel very proud, like all the other producers who receive this award, especially in this season, which was marked by a great drought.
