Akarca Ciftligi

The Akarca family settled around the town of Milas in the late 1700s. The family took an active and prominent role in the commerce network of the region. The rise of the family's wealth started with Hadji Ali Agha (born in 1845). Ömer Faruk Akarca is managing the estate as the fourth generation. The first deed of the Akarca Farm dates from 1640 AD. Organic olive production ensues in 500 hectares. The predominant varietal is Memecik. Akarca Farm has TR, EU and NOP organic certificates.
