Turkish Brand Supporting Women Farmers Awarded
Rengin Suar from Turkey has won its debut award at the 2023 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's largest olive oil quality contest.
As a company that sources from olive trees grown by women in Turkey, this is a tremendous opportunity to showcase the unique flavor and quality of our olive oil and promote gender equality in the agricultural sector.

Based near the city of Ayvalik in western Turkey, the company earned a Silver Award for an organic delicate Edremit.
"Winning at the NYIOOC signifies the recognition of our dedication and passion for producing high-quality olive oil," agent Sebnem Sener said.
"As a company that sources from olive trees grown by women in Turkey, this is a tremendous opportunity to showcase the unique flavor and quality of our olive oil and promote gender equality in the agricultural sector," she added.
In the 2022/23 crop year, the company produced 12 tons of extra virgin olive oil. Sener said one of the company's main advantages was the flexibility to choose from the best fruit and mills each season. Still, she added that the company faces two main challenges in producing its award-winning olive oil.
"The two main challenges are the same every year: finding the trees with the best quality olives and beating the competition in the premium olive oil market," Sener said.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition held each spring in New York, is the world's most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
