7 months agoBy OOT Staff

OPG Deša from Croatia has won a Gold Award at the 2024 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's largest olive oil quality contest.

We are very satisfied because the victory proves to us that we work well and motivates us to continue working harder.

Miodrag Deša, owner

The Dalmatian producer earned its debut World Competition recognition for an organic delicate Oblica monovarietal.

"We are very satisfied because the victory proves to us that we work well and motivates us to continue working harder," said owner Miodrag Deša.

In the 2023/24 crop year, OPG Deša produced 10,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods, overcoming an all-too-common problem.

"This year, pests appeared, which we solved with quality monitoring and timely protection," Deša confirmed.
