Dalmatia’s OPG Birin Triumphs at 2025 NYIOOC
Croatian producer OPG Birin has won a Gold Award at the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.
The Dalmatian producer earned its fourth-straight award at the 2025 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for its Insolatio 2700 brand, a medium-intensity blend.
"The Gold Awards from this prestigious competition are a delight," owner Stanko Birin said. "They confirm that we are doing well and producing top-quality oils."
"For our family farm, this is a significant recognition that means our oils are among the best in the olive oil world, and of course, our customers appreciate this as well," he added.

In the 2024/25 crop year, using traditional methods, OPG Birin produced 1,150 liters of extra virgin olive oil.
"Every season brings new challenges," Birin said. "Last year, we had a lot of rain before the harvest, when the olive tree needs sunshine the most."
"As a result, the olives produced less oil," he added. "However, the oil obtained is of exceptional quality. We started the harvest in early October and received top-quality extra virgin olive oils in all three brands we produce."

OPG Birin is listed in the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
