Oliorama Triumphs with Koroneiki at 2022 NYIOOC
Greek producer Oliorama & Co has won a Gold Award at the 2022 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.
It is a great honor and accomplishment to be among the awarded oils for several years now. It feels fulfilling and rewarding.

Based in Ancient Olympia, the company earned the award for its Oliorama Exclusive Olympia PGI brand, a medium Koroneiki.
"It is a great honor and accomplishment to be among the awarded oils for several years now. It feels fulfilling and rewarding," owner Maria Spiliakopoulou said. "It takes great effort and persistence to get such results."
The third-generation producer said transporting the olives quickly from the groves to the mill once again proved challenging.
"This year's challenge was the timing," Spiliakopoulou said. "Harvesting had to be done quickly. The transportation and the milling had to be done the same day, in a few hours."
"The distance of the olive oil mill from the olive groves and the transportation sometimes creates difficulties," she added.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
