"Given our export focus, it a very encouraging to know that our products meet high international standards for quality as they are evaluated and awarded by world-leading experts in the area," owner Spyros Armyros said.
"In addition to our own people's contentedness and recognition for their hard work, the award is key to opening new markets and opportunities for our portfolio," he added.
In the 2022/23 crop year, Oilove produced 10,000 liters of organic extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods. Armyros cited extreme weather and difficulty finding workers as a few challenges he had to overcome this season.
"Besides dealing with unpredictable extreme weather conditions, which has been the norm for the last five years, we are facing worldwide market uncertainty, increased production cost, inflation, disruptions in the logistic chain and shortage in the farming workforce," he said.
