Goya Spain Wins Three Gold Awards in New York

a year agoBy OOT Staff

Goya Spain has won three awards at the 2023 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's largest olive oil quality contest.

These three Gold Awards are a reward for our consistent hard work to offer consumers extra virgin olive oils produced from olives grown in groves in southern Spain.

Antonio Carrasco, general manager

The multinational in Andalusia earned three Gold Awards for three medium-intensity blends: Goya Organic, Goya Único and Goya Robusto.

"These three Gold Awards are a reward for our consistent hard work to offer consumers extra virgin olive oils produced from olives grown in groves in southern Spain," general manager Antonio Carrasco said.

Since 2018, the company has earned 18 awards at the competition. "Thanks to our raw materials and, despite the ongoing scarcity of rainfall throughout the season, we were able to offer a superior olive oil," Carrasco said.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition held each spring in New York, is the world's most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.

The complete list of winners can be viewed in the Official Guide to the World's Best Olive Oils.
