Italian producer Fattoria le Sorgenti has won a second-consecutive award at the 2023 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition.

Winning an award at the NYIOOC is a great recognition of our commitment to the quality of our products.

Gabriele Ferrari, owner

The Tuscan producer earned a Gold Award for its Laudemio Sorgenti 2022 brand, a medium Frantoio, which also earned Gold in 2022.

"Winning an award at the NYIOOC is a great recognition of our commitment to the quality of our products," owner Gabriele Ferrari said.

In the 2022/23 crop year, Fattoria le Sorgenti produced 3,500 liters of extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods. Ferrari said that the season went smoothly.

"Fortunately, in our area, the harvest period was very favorable, with sunny days not too cold," he said. "Then the harvest is always a pleasure."

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
