Botticelli Foods from the United States has won two Silver Awards at the 2021 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.
Botticelli is very proud to win Silver at the 2021 NYIOOC for both our Sicilian and Puglian Destination Series items. Botticelli created the Destination Series this past year to bring consumers on a journey to regions where some of the best olive oil in the world can be found and is doing this at accessible price points.

The company produces extra virgin olive oil in the Italian regions of Sicily and Puglia from Nocellara Etnea, Frantoio and Coratina olives. Botticelli Foods earned the two Silver Awards for its Destination Series Sicilian brand, a medium Nocellara Etnea, and its Destination Series Puglian brand, a medium blend.
"Botticelli is very proud to win Silver at the 2021 NYIOOC for both our Sicilian and Puglian Destination Series items," co-owner Joseph Asaro said. "Botticelli created the Destination Series this past year to bring consumers on a journey to regions where some of the best olive oil in the world can be found and is doing this at accessible price points."
Asaro added that the 2020/21 crop year was particularly challenging, both in terms of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the production process and consumer demand.
"During this past harvest, the biggest challenge that our company faced was navigating through the uncertainties of Covid from a crop, production and consumer demand standpoint," he said. "Our team was able to navigate this through constant communication and collaboration with our partners."
