Boccabella Farms Wins Three Gold Awards at NYIOOC
Boccabella Farms from the United States has won three awards at the 2023 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition.
We are always so humbled and appreciative of our wins at NYIOOC... After the long season's hard work, from pruning to harvest, it is so nice to be recognized.

The California-based producer earned three Gold Awards for its medium-intensity 100% Estate Arbequina, its medium Field Blend and medium Winemakers Blend.
"We are always so humbled and appreciative of our wins at NYIOOC," co-owner Johnny Jantz said. "This is the second year in a row we have earned Gold Awards for all of our entries."
"After the long season's hard work, from pruning to harvest, it is so nice to be recognized," he added. "We feel after winning; our hard work has paid off."
Since 2019, Boccabella Farms has won 12 awards across various brands using Arbequina, Coratina, Leccino, Moraiolo, Maurino, Pendolino, Koroneiki, Frantoio, Mission and Itrana olives.
While quality at Boccabella Farms was as high as ever, Jantz said the state's drought was a significant challenge but is optimistic for the coming season.
"After years of sustained drought, California has finally received some reprieve," he said. "We hope for a less challenging harvest in 2023 as a result."
"Although we had a lower production in the 2022 harvest season, our fruit was robust and full of intense flavor," Jantz added. "Our olive trees have withstood the drought very well but are very happy and healthy with the rain."
