Bare Foods Wins Gold at 2020 NYIOOC
Bare Foods LLC, which produces its extra virgin olive oils in Portugal, has won a Gold award at the 2020 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's largest and most important olive oil quality contest.
The company produces its extra virgin olive oil blend using traditional harvesting methods. The company also won a Gold in 2019.

The 2019/2020 harvest season went well, said Rui Abecassis, the company's Co-owner, after receiving news of the award. "2019 was a generous year to us and luckily we were very happy with the quality of our olive oils."
Bare Foods LLC won for its Bare Superior brand, a robust blend.
It is a recognition that we are going in the right direction and gives us and our consumers the assurance that our olive oils are of 'Superior' quality. It also shows that Portugal can produce extraordinary olive oils.
Rui Abecassis said about the award
The recognition was not only a vote of confidence for the brand, Abecassis said, but yet another achievement for Portugal.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest and its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
