Agricola Maraviglia Earns Third Straight Gold at 2023 NYIOOC
Agricola Maraviglia from Italy has won a third-straight award at the 2023 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition.
Being the third year in a row that we have won, I now consider the NYIOOC Gold Award my benchmark for quality and constant improvement.
Francesco Piattelli, owner
The Tuscan producer earned a Gold Award for a medium blend of Frantoio, Leccino and Moraiolo olives. The blend previously earned Gold Awards in 2021 and 2022.
"Being the third year in a row that we have won, I now consider the NYIOOC Gold Award my benchmark for quality and constant improvement," owner Francesco Piatelli said.
In the 2022/23 crop year, Agricola Maraviglia produced 700 liters of extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods.
"This year, we definitely led a heroic harvest," Piatelli said. "Our team of pickers was truly delightful, and I'm sure the joyful atmosphere can be tasted in the oil."
