Ushimado Superior
This year's Ushimado Superior EVOO aims to be a uniquely fresh and harmonious fruity oil. It is a blend of the Nevadillo Blanco, Lucca, Manzanillo, and Mission varieties harvested in late September. All the fruit is grown on Okayama Ushimado's farm, and pruning work is carried out with the highest priority. Since 2019, the healthiest fruits are selected and harvested at the ideal time and carefully hand-picked. The olives are then quickly pressed to create the freshest oil.
Where to Find Waichiro Hattori planted olives on April 19, 1942, after cultivating the hills of Ushimado. He said that olives are useful as food, medicine and lamp fuel. He established the Nippon Olive Co., Ltd. on June 1, 1949 and released his first product: olive manon virgin oil (now olive manon olive oil for cosmetics). Currently, we sell more than 80 different food and cosmetic products and are selling at events and through mail-order, mainly on Ushimado Olive Garden.
